I love this series soooooooo much. Buy this book right now! There is a stupid identity scammer that takes Cube Kids awesome name. What an idiot! Dont rush Cube Kid cause he makes great books and takes his time on them unlike the other diarys I read. Cube Kid does an amazing job on his book. You should get schoalastic to put your books on the list! I ordered the papaerback and it was in amazing condition. This book is totally recommended. The books are very humorous, with just enough touch of humanity, I can't wait for the next book and hope it comes out soon. I have read this series over and over again and still love to read it, I just got the latest book last week and have read it twice. Ur one of my favorite authors cube kid, and if you keep coming out with more books you will stay and improve that rating on my brother's and my favorite authors. You are one of the best and I love your talent. And I'd like to say that you have inspired me in many other ways to do stuff in minecraft. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. WOW By Kindle Customer I LOVE YOUR DIARY OF A WIMPY VILLAGER BOOKS!!! Even if the book series is over I will seriously be super super sad. BEST BOOK EVER!!! By the way it's not my name but can you use the name Rock for a villager that's gonna join pebbles team. It would mean a lot for me. If you like this idea too make the villagers move and they make an EPIC village with a fence around it 35 blocks high and a lava moat around it so the mobs wants get in. If you say SOMETHING about those two ideas I will be 100% Happy. CANT WAIT FOR BOOK NUMBER EIGHT!!! ( And nine and ten and eleven and twelve and thirteen and fourteen and fifteen and sixteen and one hundred eighty four!!! )

After doing a lot of research I ordered this book specifically because the front cover and everything else indicated that the book was to help kids understand when "SOMEONE" they love has cancer. I was greatly disappointed when I received it only to find all the book talks about is when a child's MOM has cancer. It's hard enough to tell my children that their grandpa has cancer let alone confusing them with a book that specifically relates to the mom. Kids take things literal. The last thing I need them worrying about is that I have cancer as well! The cover should read "when your MOM has cancer", or better yet make the actual book more generalized as to who the person they love is because very few books cover the topic of cancer for loved ones other than a parent. The best book I've found to help a young child understand when a grandparent has cancer is "Someone I Love is Sick" by Kathleen McCue. It's very basic but it is a loose-leaf book that allows you to pick & choose what applies to your individual situation and change it accordingly as the person's condition or treatment changes. It also enables you to choose who the book is about: a grandpa, a grandma, a mom or a dad so you're not sending mixed messages to the kids by telling them one thing and reading them another.

I can't say enough good things about it. I hope your book reaches the thousands of doctors, hospitals, clinics, labs, schools, libraries and homes where it is really needed. You have produced something very special for this world.

I can't even tell you how many times I've read Butterfly Kisses and Wishes on Wings to my son! While I'm reading to him each night, he traces the "flight lines" of the butterflies with his fingers. He's only five and "gets it". His favorite part is where we share peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (The ONLY thing he'll eat for lunch!!!) I was 29 when I was diagnosed. He was only 1. I didn't have to explain anything to him as a one year old, but he understands the meaning of the pink ribbon now. This book is a MUST have for the children of survivors. What a great gift to give to your local elementary school or library.

About the Author Christina Courtenay lives in Herefordshire and is married with two children. Although born in England, she is half Swedish and was brought up in Sweden. Didn't Like The Main Character By Angel Hatfield **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**It's 1648 and Temperance Marston has been living on an isolated island in Japan with her cousins. Because of customs, she must stay disguised as a young man. Rather than stay in war-torn England, this was fine with her. One day, she finds out that one of her cousin's workers has found out her secret and is trying to blackmail her into marrying him. This spurs her to sneak onto mainland Japan, where she eventually ends up in trouble.I had a lot of problems with this book. The biggest one being that I really didn't like Temperance. Especially considering the time period, she was set on doing everything she's not supposed to do, even though she knows there will be dire consequences if she is caught.

Good Reading By LAS Reviewer Temperance’s trip to Japan isn’t at all what she expected.Temperance had hoped that her trip to Japan would be a beautiful adventure. However, once Temperance realizes she will not be allowed to travel around the country; her excitement quickly turns to boredom. Consequently, she decides to do a bit of exploring on her own and meets Kazuo. Their first meeting leaves her wanting more, and once again she dares to escape the confines of the small island she’s living on. Unfortunately, this mistake proves to be very costly, and Temperance’s life is changed forever. I must say that while this is book three in a series, it can certainly stand on its own.Temperance is a very easy character to like. She’s definitely naïve at the start of the story, but she is kind, caring, and always willing to help others. Her inner strength is put to the test more than once in this book, and I had the pleasure of watching Temperance grow into a great character.Temperance and Kazuo make a very good couple. They are attracted to each other from the moment they meet, and I must admit that their connection is formed a little fast for my taste. Despite this issue, Temperance and Kazuo’s relationship still feels genuine. However, the restrictions on foreigners make the idea of a happy ending for the couple seem truly impossible. Ms. Courtenay did an excellent job of building suspense gradually. As this romance progressed, the couple moved from one precarious situation to another, and I wasn’t entirely sure that Temperance and Kazuo would find a way to be together without fear until the very end.Temperance and Kazuo face separate dilemmas throughout the story. As they try to avoid being caught by various enemies, they try to tackle one problem at a time. However, the solution to both Temperance and Kazuo’s problems are found in the same place, and Temperance plays a key role in restoring Kazuo’s family honor. It was not exactly the solution I expected, but it was certainly satisfying.The Jade Lioness is a very enjoyable book. Temperance is a sweet character, and I liked cheering for her and Kazuo against all odds. I’m also fascinated by Japan and China, so I was really pleased to receive this for review.Its a fascinating read, and with some realistic characters. Even in the West in this time period women were chattels subject to their male relatives, so seeing how they were treated in Japan wasn’t a surprise. Temi (Temperance) felt restricted after so many months stuck with the others on a tiny island, the closest the Shogun will allow the traders to get to Japan itself. Feeling stifled  she sneaked out one evening to swim and there met Kazuo. He told her he was an outlaw, but they struck up an unlikely friendship anyway. I loved the rapport between them, right from the first meeting it felt like they had something special.Temi is unusual for a female in that age, fearless to have undertaken the journey to Japan from England, educated and intelligent, and she somehow just trusts Kazuo. She’s picked up the language and is able to converse with him ( and later other Japanese natives). He tells her about his mission to clear his family's name and honour, though its a precarious journey with no promise of success. Honour is very strong to the Japanese though, and his family were important and close to the Shogun until his father was framed for theft. He’s trying to find out and prove the truth.You get a real sense of the poverty in the country, contrasting with the riches for the top few, a feeling of how dire times were for some families, how they had no other option, and oddly how often the children just accepted their fate being sold at a young age. Its as if it’s so common they seem to feel its normal – and to a degree it is. In the 1600’s  here in the UK kids were being used as child labour, and families struggled to feed them so they were sold or hired out when very young. I loved too the description of the houses, of the wooden frames and rice paper walls and windows, of the beautiful decorations the wealthy had in their homes, and how different life was for them from those at the bottom of society. Like that everywhere in a way, even now, but still interesting to read about life then.  We see some of the underside of the country in this story. Life from the view point of those at the base, along with seeing the beautiful countryside even though its harsh on them. Its a hard journey and a fascinating read, and a story I really enjoyed. What an outstanding, engaging read.This novel is more than an emotional chronicle of a grown man's desire to come to grips with his relationship with his dad. It is a journey back to the heroism of a previous generation. A World War Two survivor recently told me that his was not 'the greatest generation' "The Greatest Generation," he said, "were America's founding fathers. All World War Two military men and women did was give their lives to save the society they created and the world."Finding Dad humorously and emotionally traverses the chasm between those of us in our fifties and those who made it possible for us to live the way we do in our fifties. It is a remarkable story about respect for our elders. I loved it.

History buffs will enjoy the stories of a naval aviator others will find a compelling story of a son trying to connect with his aging father. Hutter Bachelors on strike is an epic and inspirational story of the tyranny and oppression of a country and it's people and the courage of one young man to stop it. This was a very emotional and inspirational story full of adventure and action and the birth of a hero amidst tyranny and oppression. This story is about the right to liberty, justice, and freedom. A young man named Kene, the son of a great man named Oliseh who had once tried to free the people of the Ohanze and killed by the evil King Edozie for rising up against his order. The would not allow marriage in this land unless a man could pay a high bride price. Women were sold as slaves to be married, however, no man could afford it, so every man was without a wife and without children to carry their name. The citizens of Ohanze were beaten down physically tortured and intimidated to the point they were afraid to speak up. However, everything changed when Kene, son of Oliseh showed up in Ohanze. Once the people began to learn who he was and his plan to create a democracy and free the people of Ohanze and put a stop to the bride-price and end all tyranny in their land, the people then stood with Kene, shoulder to shoulder. This is a story of a young man who becomes a hero and an adored King for the people and country of Ohanze. A must read, this would make a wonderful film!

The story takes place in the state of Ohanze; a state which is ruled by an oppressive and tyrannical government. The main character of the story, Kene, has big dreams of changing Ohanze into a democratic state to rid the people of poverty, torture, and oppression. There are insightful political discussions among the characters who are not oblivious to recent world events. Through Kene, Obi has revealed much about the power of believing in oneself and the love of one's homeland. Definitely recommended.I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

Moving read from Obi By TFLReader Bachelors on Strike is a moving novel about the oppressed and subjugated people of Ohanze and the struggle they face under such tyrannical leadership leading towards rebellion. Despite the primitive setting the writing has a really contemporary feel making the difficult subject matter easy to take in. Obi has a real flair for writing and the exposition is well times meaning there are always fresh revelations keeping you turning the pages long into the night. This is the second of his novels I have read now and I can well see myself going on to work my way through them all.

By Rugged Ascent If you liked the first book in the Urban Fairytales Series, then you'll definitely enjoy this second installment - Snow: White Crow! (If you have not read Red Hood: The Hunt, get on that!! You're seriously missing out! :p)This is definitely not your traditional, run-of-the-mill tale of Snow White. In this spin on the classic, Snow kicks some serious butt! (I might have a wee bit of a crush.. haha)If you've read anything else by Erik Schubach, you'll recognize the perfect blend of action, romance and humor. The world that's been created here will draw you in and leave you wishing for more (which there absolutely IS! Check out Ella: Cinders and Ash and Rose: Briar's Thorn for more edgy re-tellings of classic fairytales).Absolutely, 100% recommend this book, series and author!

Or more known as Snow White, due to a meeting with a goddess now has the power to commune with nature itself and it helps her save the day! To the tiniest seed to even the birds above, she treats them all as family. This is really amazing and well written i just couldn't put the book down! There were funny moments, heartbreaking moments, suspense filled moments! And Daria actually peed on someones shoes! If you read The Red Hood book you should definitely read this one! Unanswered questions in that book is answered in this second one! But be prepared for more questions in the end ;) give this a read and you'd fall in live with the characters. There was a typo. One or two but it wasn't bad at all! Stop what you're doing and give this one a read i promise you won't regret it!!!

I am officially in love with this story and this author’s style.For this installment, Schubach has once again chosen to write in 1st person POV, but he’s writing from a different character. Instead of Daria and Maireni from Red Hood, he narrates with Gretta Snow. It’s a style of serializing I haven’t seen before. The story seems to follow a legend rather than a specific character. This allows a first person POV to drop into whatever character is active within the legend in a given time. It keeps the story moving and works very well for this narrative.My other favorite thing about Schubach’s writing is that he writes lesbian romance that is fresh and somewhat innocent. In Snow, the romance is more mature than it was in Red Hood, but it’s never gratuitous or erotic. The love between the characters is a part of the story. It’s something that actually propels the narrative.I love reading these stories and will continue to do so as long as they keep getting written.

Humor, Heart, Nerds, Jocks, Step-siblings and of course Sleepaway camp fun By Jennifer Donovan When NERD CAMP first came out, my 11 year old daughter and I enjoyed it immensely. When my son read it last summer, at 9, we were both thrilled, since it's one of our favorite books. When we heard a sequel was coming out, we couldn't wait!My son and I read this aloud together, which I enjoy doing with Weissman's books, because we can see what makes the other one laugh. Her books are funny and touching as well.In the first book, Gabe is getting used the idea of having a cool new step-brother, Zack. His summer away at gifted camp is like a welcome reprieve from the struggle of trying to fit in -- trying not to be "too nerdy," and yet still focus on the things he enjoys.NERD CAMP 2.0 brings us to the next summer. Gabe is enrolled back at the Summer Center for Gifted Enrichment and can't wait to see all his old friends. He's even been working with Zack to convince his mom and Gabe's dad to send him away for summer camp as well. Their plan works, but when Zack's camp is damaged by a forest fire, and nearby SCGE opens half of its grounds up to the cool jock camp, Gabe is secretly terrified. Will Zack still like him when he sees him in all his nerdy glory? Will Gabe's friend accept his stepbrother? Summer camp fun for 'tweens: Nerds vs. Sporty, cool kids By Maggie Knapp I missed the first NERD CAMP, but found I could jump in with this one and figure out what was going on. The chapters alternate between new stepbrothers Zack (sporty, popular) and Gabe (smart, focused). With Gabe's help, Zach is finally allowed to attend a sleepaway camp *Not* the nerdy, science and research oriented one Gabe likes, but sports-themed Camp Seneca, nearby. When an accident closes Zach's camp, the powers that be decide that the Gifted Enrichment camp, and Camp Seneca could share spaces, with the help of carefully drawn maps to apportion the territory.This book has lots of teen humor and honest good (and bad) intentions. Rarely do I read books where "teachable moments" don't come across as heavy handed and unrealistic but author Elissa Brent Weissman writes some great ones in very naturally, For example, when Zach doesn't pack enough underwear and has to ask Gage to borrow some. Or when Gage is getting dissed by Zach's friends, and Zach has to decide whether or not to stand up for his stepbrother.I think this would be a fun fit for 'tween Stuart Gibbs fans (SPY CAMP etc.) It has plenty of 'tween boy humor and pranks, but the story has an undercurrent of kindess (it is buried fairly deep, don't worry!) that I sometimes find missing. Zack likes skateboarding, playing video games and listening to music on his iPod, while Gabe is more into being on the math team and conducting scientific research. They’ve learned to respect each other’s differences, and Gabe even helped Zack getting into a summer camp that’s near the one for gifted children that he attends.But when a forest fire damages Zack’s camp it’s relocated to Gabe’s, and not everyone is happy to be forced together. Those at Camp Seneca see the others as nerds getting in the way of their fun, and campers at the Summer Center for Gifted Enrichment feel their safe haven from the normal harassment they get at school is gone. The two sides wage an escalating war for control of the campground. Can they come together before things get out of hand?Nerd Camp 2.0 by Elissa Brent Weissman, the sequel to Nerd Camp, goes back and forth between Gabe’s and Zack’s perspectives, showing the concerns of each side. What seems like harmless fun to others, can be hurtful from a different perspective. Each side has radical elements that want to take over by force as well as moderate voices seeking compromise. But how can the two sides even come together to talk when they don’t trust each other? Even Gabe and Zack, stepbrothers, don’t trust each other to do the right thing.This is a great book for mother-daughter book clubs with girls aged 9 to 12 to read and discuss. For one thing, it shows how both sides of an issue can have right and wrong viewpoints. Also, it shows kids stepping out of their stereotypes. For instance, nerdy Gabe likes to have fun swimming and hanging out at a campfire, while jock Zack finds he likes to cook. When they both learn to be comfortable with who they are they begin to see possibilities for bringing the sides together. I recommend it.The author gave me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

My wife and I have become very bored with our sex life so we decided to try and spice it up. I will have to omit, this books brought "fun" back into the bed room. Very fun short read that can be a game changer for you and your partner.

Something new under the sheets By Denniger Bolton I liked this book as much for the humor as for the information on spicing up one’s sex life. “Yoga practitioners have the downward dog. Sexual mavericks have the standing wheellbarrow,” states the author, Jennifer Anderson. She also says tht yogis may do the later better and easier because of their experience doing the former. I’ve tried both and both are challenging. I learned of the four classic positions, which according to the author can with repetition somewhat routine-like and may lead to a boring sex life. The Four: Spooning, Missionary, Doggy and Woman-on-Top. Her book is all about trying out new things and she’s listed and described ten of them, the Wheelbarrow being one. I liked this book and the practical applications thereof and the goal of introducing new sexual positions to improve one’s sex life, which is always a good thing.

The characters are easy to relate to and I loved the plot. The book is well written with plenty of laugh out loud moments. It follows Lyn, who has no choice but to come to terms with what's happened and make a fresh start. I thought I knew how it would end but I was wrong. Stevie kept me guessing right until the end. Highly recommended.

Lyn has lost her libido due to menopause, but her husband has needs that result in a baby with another woman. They divorce.I loved how Lyn jumped in and began to construct a new life for herself while maintaining her sunny disposition. She buys a business, makes new friends, and meets a new man. He's terrific, but she still has feelings for her ex-husband.In the end, I would have made different choices than those that Lyn made, but I respected her and liked her. I would love to be her friend.

An entertaining read By ocmd Lyn’s husband dumps her after 35 years of marriage and she starts her new life by moving and joining an online dating site. Of course, her ex gets wind of it and suddenly she’s looking attractive again. It’s a familiar scenario, cleverly told in the author’s unique style, which is witty and very entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

By Angela I enjoyed this neat story and especially the fact that this dog was able to find it's way back home from being Dognapped and poisoned,too. But it does have a very happy ending. Brilliantly big colored pictures. I would definitely recommend this ebook for young and early readers who love to read animal stories. She has a lot of books in her collection already, especially from this author, Tara Star. This book has lovely story, very cute looking pictures, and also inspirational. I would definitely recommend this book for your kids. The author really did a great job. It's a well written book, and it's very interesting to read.
