Wow DW, this journey is the most convoluted to date; I mean you have taken me on some extreme rides, but I think this one is the wildest yet!I remembered after finishing Unfinished Melody, book 1, that I was more fascinated with the dynamic plot, and who would end up with whom, more so than any love and/or connection to the characters themselves. Those feelings remained true to form as I completed PH. At times Marni would show such strength and resolve; then other times I felt like she allowed Melody and Ben to use her like a door mat. Ben, well he just frustrated the hell out of me. He never struck me as a grieving widower, as his behavior towards Marni was so selfish and self serving at times; for most of the story, I didn't think that he deserved her. Now with Noah, I must admit that I felt that many of his reactions and responses were realistic and understandable. I mean really, standing in his shoes, I don't know that I could have tolerated many of the events that transpired either. What was also true to form is the indelible mark of DW's style; the clever double entendre of carefully chosen songs for the chapter titles, the POV from each character so beautifully illustrated, and the push and pull of emotions, in this tug of war of love. I honestly didn't know how this one was going to end up or how I even wanted it to conclude, but like you DW, I am a sucker for romance in the end. I still have to admit, that in the end, I'm still was not crazy about neither Ben or Noah, but I was so glad to see Marni happy, as she had suffered and sacrificed enough. Throughout her journey, I kept asking myself what would I have done in Marni's situation, which was hard to say; but one thing I would have loved to have seen was how Melody's parents reacted to the chain of events. OMG! DW, you are a sheer talent, and I look forward of more to come!

DW has sucked me into another book and made me cry and laugh, along with the characters. The writing is very detailed, as always—you feel as if you are at the scene she is describing. Whether she's describing the inside of a house or the food they are eating. The story was told in 3 POV's—Marni's, Ben's, & Noah's. This book was so emotional, I was crying and screaming along with Marni whether in tears or anger! The book picked up right where “Unfinished Melody” left off. You see flashbacks from the past to where they were now. As I read more about their past, it just made me dislike Melody and Ben more and more.Marni, being the selfless person she is, always doing what's right for everyone else, but never what's good for Marni. Melody & Ben took advantage of that and just walked all over her. They used her to get what they wanted and then pushed her aside when they were done. Kind of like a toy. After Melody died, Ben, being the selfish person that he was, still took advantage of her kindness and generosity. Never once did he think about Marni's happiness, Ben just wanted her to stay in the comfortable arrangement they created for raising Ali. Whereas, Noah just wanted Marni to move on with their life, get married and have a family of their own. I honestly don't think I could have put up with the circumstances that Noah was under, his girlfriend/fiancée living with and raising another man's child? His feelings of being left out and being the third wheel were completed validated.I finished this book in 1 day, (although it took me forever to write this review) I couldn't put the book down. At one point, I really and truly didn't know how it was going to end and I didn't want it to either. Of course I won't spoil it for you, but you're definitely going to need a lot of “ME TIME” to read this. I did it in one sitting (6 hours) with no phones, TV, or people to bother me either. READ ON!!

I remembered after finishing Unfinished Melody, book 1, that I was more fascinated with the dynamic plot, and who would end up with whom, more so than any love and connection to the characters themselves. I felt very much involved with Marnie, Ben and Noah. Those feelings remained true to form as I completed Perfect Harmony I had now idea who Marnie was going to end up with. At times Marni would show such strength, bravery and resolve; then other times I felt like she allowed Melody and Ben to use her. Ben, well he just frustrated me to no end. For most of the story, I didn't think that he deserved her. Now with Noah, I must admit that I felt that many of his reactions and responses were realistic and understandable especially for someone in his place. I don't know that I could have tolerated many of the events that transpired either. I love DW's style; the clever double entendre of carefully chosen songs for the chapter titles, the perfect style of each character was very beautifully illustrated, and the push and pull of emotions, it made me fell like I was one of the characters. I honestly didn't know how this one was going to end up or how I even wanted it to conclude and I did not want it to end I read the whole book in 6 hours, but like you DW, I am especially a sucker for romance in the end. I can't wait for Chloe and Michael's part 2.
