Therefore the youngest children are invited to join, using the interactive elements that can be found on the pages of this book.Anna Dewdney for this newest sequel did not choose any particular theme, instead offering a suitable story for the summer that is becoming nearer each day. I wish it was longer but it's just one of her little board books. It's cute how she added touch n feel details though. We own almost all of the Llama books and they never disappoint.

About the Author Michael Newton, a California native living in Nashville, Indiana, has published 282 books under his own name and various pseudonyms since 1977. Who knew there was such a thing as Western-Horror? I am certainly thrilled to have found it, and who better to read as an introduction to it than Michael Newton? The legendary writer of almost 300 books, including several of my favorite Mack Bolan stories, shows his versatility with this great yarn.This was not at all what I thought it would be, and that is not a bad thing. This book had me turning the pages anxious to see what was coming next. In typical Newton style it starts out quick and rarely lets up and simply has wonderful pacing.Louis L’Amour meets Robert McCammon…simply a fun and exciting read. The sequel is now out and has already been added to my list to read.

Terrifying By Hypnotist 101 So, I love Classic Westerns, and I love horror and supernatural novels, but this is the first time I've read anything which combines the two, and it really works well. It's the 1870's, and a violent, mysteriously evolving chimera is terrorising the New Mexico plains. Young Gideon Thorn is determined to get to the answers. The story rocks and rolls from one terrifying encounter to the next, always changing, never predictable, and keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout. Great idea, brilliant execution. Loved it.

The way in which the "animal" prey on people is very creative and fresh, and allows for some disturbing imagery throughout. The climax is strong and worth the wait. If you feel like reading an elevated horror novel with a western setting...this is definitely one to keep in mind.

Great look into Shane's life after the war By Anju Singal Gupta This is another great story by Nick Eliopulos that delves deeper into Shane's life, but this time after the war with the Devourer has finished. This final installment in the series is another wonderful way to see that Shane, while definitely on the wrong side, might not be as bad as we all thought he was after Book 6, Rise and Fall.

They give us so much, but we give them so little in return and often they die alone and lonely. They tell us that they merely want to make us laugh at ourselves and cry at our own follies. So a fitting tribute to them is a farce in which we laugh and cry at a set of people who, in some aspects, very closely resemble ourselves. The title tells us something about the book but should perhaps have included 'The Judge' who comes to a very sticky end as a puddle on a pavement and of course WOW-LASSIE (Women of the World League Against Sex and Sexism In Entertainment) which battles sexism in TV shows.

It is a quick read that can easily be finished in one sitting, but I like that it is more than just a few superficial chuckles. It keeps you entertained without unnecessary fluff and it will leave you hoping it will segue into a larger composition. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a good, fast read.

As I read I found myself becoming emerged and engaged with the characters. The author did an awesome job of combining imagery with character descriptions. With this being the author's first book I was astonished. Can't wait for more!

Follow his character closely and you will see similarities common in men today,Eager for validation the princess accepts it from anyone willing to provide it. Without giving too much away, her inability to hold together her perfect image in the final scene is something we can all relate to as we meet and spend time with those we had met through social media.I have read a great deal of Kyle's earlier work under his pen name and I am happy to see him put his talents to good use.. For his first foray into fiction this is a fantastic offering. The character development will leave you wishing this story was much longer.A quick, entertaining read. I look forward to seeing what Kyle comes up with next.

About the Author Magnus Mills, a bus driver by trade, is the author of seven novels and three collections of stories, which he types on a typewriter. This is a thin version of Catch-22. Mills lets us have more fun than the driver or the passengers.Our protagonist is a veteran of the driver corps. He and his driver friends run up against the bureaucracy on a daily basis. Of course, the London bus bureaucracy (like bureaucracies everywhere) loves requiring that things be done in a certain way for the excellent reason that they have always been done that way.While not laugh-out-loud funny, Maintenance of Way will keep a smile on your face for the duration of this all-to-short book. If you like British humour, you will get a kick out of this one. I have ordered two more books by Mills because of this one.

The characters are pretty funny in a way you'll probably find yourself smirking the entire book. Our main character is just quite the character and I love the story told through his voice.The seriousness and complexity of public transportation is hinted at on a satirical way. It can all be very dramatic actually. Our author is actually a bus driver himself and that's where the wonderful insight comes from.At the same time I think if the reader really thinks, this book is a lot deeper than face value. It might make you question a lot, societal norms, work politics, even our purpose in life.This was a really short book and it's great for reading during times you only have the opportunity to squeeze it in, like perhaps on the bus or train to work? Such as the way that the world works when we are not paying close attention. Mr. Mills takes what would seem to be a mundane activity and turns it into a compelling look at the hidden mechanics that keeps our lives moving. While the novel is short and there is not a large amount of character development, the discussion of how the buses are supposed to run - not too late, not too early - demonstrates that there is more to bus driving than just sitting behind the wheel. The humor of the bus drivers as they sit around the break table shows how they take all of the perceived interference by those in management in stride. This is not an expose' of the bus driving occupation. It is, however, an enjoyable and quick read that thoroughly entertains.Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book for free through Good Reads' "First Reads" program.

Remixed Relics, a novel masquerading as a collection of ‘slippery tales’, is the story of a man under the influence of music, books and ideas struggling to keep his head above water while reaching for the stars. When manic music-collector Gus Adams (known as Grasshopper, Grungy and Gee Gee among other things) runs into a distracted story-collector in a Sydney shopping mall in 2010 he realises it’s the opportunity he’s been waiting for. Gus launches into a series of semi-detached stories about his life as a baby boomer, mixing the sublime with the ridiculous as he races through the decades like a runaway train. Beginning with a surreal account of the events leading up to his conception as a wooden ‘hero with a thousand faces’, the first tales describe Gus’s discovery of myths, girls, the arts and alcohol. The narrative then picks up speed, jumping from one theme to another as the bibulous bibliophile bonds with his ‘blue-collar’ father, goes bush on a rescue mission, and then rejects suburbia for an inner-city Bohemia with cosmic vibes and zero gravity. On the rocky road from Rockdale to rock star and rock bottom, Gus and his avatars often lose the plot. We rely on other people (Gus’s mate, Higgsie, his mother, Eva) to pick up the tangled thread of the on-road and off-the-rails adventures. The protean protagonist is so preoccupied with devils, dragons, nymphs and Minotaurs he barely sees what’s in front of his over-sensitive nose. Craving, yet afraid of, change, Gus slips and slides into pools, pits and panic attacks, slowly realising that a long dry season would be infinitely preferable to being stuck on an ark full of party animals or wandering the streets, wet and wasted, like some ‘lost boy’. The later tales focus on loss, resurrection and renewal. Once the re-born ‘hero’ swears off beer, wine and strong coffee he becomes a superman of sorts, doing his best to stay in touch with his daughter Chloe – not to mention reality. Transforming from superman to family man is easier said than done, however. Gus needs to grow up and become less self-centred if he’s to be more than a character in a bad dream. Never one to admit defeat, he keeps searching for Arcadia until he finds a moon goddess capable of turning the tide. But the dog days aren’t over and not everyone’s out of the woods. While Gus practises moderation and meditation, reinventing himself (again) as he re-imagines the future, Eva starts slipping back in time. The new millennium will bring daunting challenges, exciting opportunities, reunions and revelations. Spiced with literary allusions, lyrics, poetry, parodies and Australiana, Remixed Relics is a god’s breakfast of an arty-sporty myth-mash about the search for meaning, love and identity in a world where fact and fiction twist around each other like snakes.

About the Author Greg Snook is a full-time public servant and spare-time writer, painter, performer and St George Illawarra supporter. His short stories and articles have been published in Cane Toad Times, Powderhound Magazine and various community newspapers and zines. Many of Snook’s parodies were included in The Shonky Songbook and Mongrel Melodies (which he also edited). His winning entry in the Sydney Morning Herald’s 2008 ‘Write a song about Sydney’ competition was published in the Herald. Remixed Relics, Snook’s first published ‘novel’, contains traces of his abandoned Greater Sydney Novel and Second Best Sydney Novel, as well as remnants of more recent re-imaginings. He lives in Western Sydney with his wife.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. likeable and very funny human being By Dean Edgecombe Remixed Relics is a surreal alcohol fuelled autobiography of a complex character whose cultural obsessions range from opera, theatre and the arts to punk rock to country music to Rugby League and then some. Although it is basically a narrative of heroic and not so heroic failures, our heroic and not so heroic narrator comes across as a compassionate, likeable and very funny human being. His story is mainly set in Sydney’s South and the inner suburbs. Names have been changed to protect the innocent, including Snook’s, many times, during the course of the narrative.Anyone who was around the pub and live music scene during the halcyon days of Darlinghurst and Newtown in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s couldn’t help but relate in a big way. Even if you weren't there, there's plenty in these pages to keep you entertained.

As each time before... the book was hard to put down and I ended up reading it all in one continuous sitting. The writing is so vivid and descriptive... it paints a very clear picture in the readers mind. Haha my mind felt so engaged... that for the past few days after reading it I even dreamed of certain scenes and woke up wondering where that scene was from... until I realized I was thinking about Mad Town and the series. This book is the last in the trilogy and that is too bad. It would definitely be good to see more work from this author. Definitely recommenthis book if you are looking for an all around great story!

I strongly believe that what Eric Monroe's saying about a guy's concept of sex is true. I can relate on the part where I finally came to the part that I want to stop being just another one night stand. And yes I did a lot of mistakes because I was clueless on men psychology I guess, looking back- I can just laugh about it! I was surprised because I did exactly what he stated on that part a few years ago. That's one thing I can assure you girls out there, listen to this book. You would definitely know your next date if he's a player or a keeper. If he's a player, you will gauge what type of player category he is,ironically. I enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend this book to all the single ladies who would want to be in the right track of seeking your potential partner in life.

By Lucidity In short, “What He REALLY Means When He Says...” is the type of book that I consider to be an absolute must read and even though I just finished it, I can definitely see myself giving it a reread in the future to keep what I’ve learned fresh in my mind.The author offers readers genuinely professional advice, and I could personally gather from the first few chapters that this isn’t the type of book that is created with reused, recycled information that can be found just about anywhere on the internet with ease. As well as this, I also found the read to be quite entertaining in a way – far from feeling like a chore to read – simply because the writing style has a very relaxed, almost conversational-like undertone added to it. The book is clearly aimed mostly toward a female audience, but I personally think that both sexes could find some insight and value from this read, and on that note, I can’t help but recommend it to others. Definitely worth the read.

Most of the time women tend to misunderstand men's words or actions and even go further to end relationships which otherwise would have had a great potential to grow and offer happiness to both partners.The book helps a woman to achieve an excellent communication without these misunderstandings, build real and affectionate bonds and at the same time offers a really deep insight into a man's way of thinking , along with a good dose of humor! I enjoyed every page to the end!A very useful book for all women!
