An adequate story for the summer By Helpful Advice ‘Llama Llama Sand and Sun’ written and illustrated by Anna Dewdney is the latest installment in a long lasting series that has Llama Llama character as the main hero – this time bringing the adequate story for this time of year, Llama’s going to the beach.Llama Llama loves to spend time on the beach, playing on the sand, with the ball or simply enjoying the sun. Therefore the youngest children are invited to join, using the interactive elements that can be found on the pages of this book.Anna Dewdney for this newest sequel did not choose any particular theme, instead offering a suitable story for the summer that is becoming nearer each day. Because of that reason, on the book pages there are many things children can do given this book is part of ‘A Touch & Feel book’ series that offers interactive experience.Therefore if you consider your child a Llama Llama fan, she or he will not be disappointed, though for those for the first time becoming aware of this charming character there are some other titles from the series that can be more recommended, mainly for the lesson they brought.However, for having fun in the summer days on the beach I am sure that many children will enjoy these new adventures of Llama Llama, both because of the simple story and usual high quality of Dewdney's oil paint artwork.

I wish it was longer but it's just one of her little board books. It's cute how she added touch n feel details though. We own almost all of the Llama books and they never disappoint.
