I am one of the translators of that book and I feel I'm entitled to write a review since I translated it for free, just because I loved the book.I'll just copy here the review I wrote for Amazon.co.uk.After trying a few foster homes for old people, Paulo finally finds one where he can enjoy not only life in an enchanting countryside far from the bustle of mass tourism but also the company of animals.It's a very pleasant story of somebody in search of things past, from emotions to expectations.An invigorating book full of tenderness and based on two recurrent themes: love and friendship, with another underlying one: the solitude of old people.It's not a last fling actually but Paulo's return to hope and life.Paulo, the main character, is touching and stays in our memory long after we've finished reading.
