Not being an avid book reader, I started this book one day recently and could not put it down! It captivated me from the moment I started reading until the very last page.This young author did an amazing job writing about a very difficult part of our history. As I sat reading through the pages, Elizabeth Atlee takes you on a journey that many of us take for granted every day. Her courage and bravery is what many young people lack, especially in today's society.After reading this book, it gives me hope, knowing that there are young people, such as Miss Duggan, who truly care about spreading the Truth.This book would also make for a very exciting Christian movie! I look forward to many more historical fiction novels from this writer.May God continue to inspire you Miss Duggan!
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Loved It By Hurricane Let me start by saying "I do not like to read" and on the rare occasion I do read it is a murder mystery. The reason I purchased the book was because I know the author. I assumed it would sit on the shelf and maybe someday I would get round to opening the book. After my daughter-in-law read From the Flames she raved about the book so I thought I'd better check this out. Boy am I glad I did. I couldn't put it down - finishing it in two days.This author has developed a plot line which rivals mystery authors like Sanford and Patterson and does it with a Gospel-centered theme. I agree with the reviewer who stated this would make a great Christian movie.I look forward to reading Hannah's next book.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A page turner! By Shannon Kessler This book hooks you from page one. I wanted to know who the mysterious stranger was. Why was everyone so silent and awkward around him. I anxiously followed Elizabeth, as she discovered the answers to these questions and more. I felt as though I was right there with her on the adventure of a lifetime. I was frightened when she was, worried when she was and I felt her love for her family.It was very interesting to learn about this time in history as I enjoyed an enchanting story. A page turner!
