About the Author
Billy Steers is an author, illustrator, and commercial pilot. In addition to the Tractor Mac series, he has worked on forty other children's books. Mr. Steers raised horses and sheep on the farm where he grew up in Connecticut. Married with three sons, he still lives in Connecticut.

By Bill Stevens "Parade's Best" is a great story that continues to expand the vibrant agrarian world created in the first books with wonderful storytelling, intricately detailed drawings, and compelling characters.We received the first six Tractor Mac books from my sister as a gift and they became instant bedtime staples. My eldest just turned four and he eagerly anticipated receiving the new Tractor Mac book that we had heard was coming out around his birthday. He was not disappointed and we have now read it almost every night since. It has several of the other tractors and vehicles featured from past installments of this series and my son loves pointing out that he knows each from each past story.A great buy and value at less than $8 each, these books will be cherished by my children for years to come. Here's hoping more Tractor Mac stories are forthcoming as I keep adding children to my growing brood.

It was an instant hit and since then, we have gotten all of the other books in the series. My five year old son and 3 year old daughter love listening to the stories of Tractor Mac. I love the illustrations and how they capture my attention. You feel like you are diving right into the book when you open it. The stories are well written and perfect for young children. I highly recommend these books for the little farmer in your life. they make great gifts and will be cherished for years to come. Cannot wait for the next one!!!

I purchased this book as well as other Tractor Mac books for my grandnephew who really loves tractors, and he is crazy about it. Even his younger sister really enjoys the book. I was concerned that at age 6 he would be a little old for it, but that was not the case. He's still enjoying it a year later.
