By Trinity Cause This is the third book in the series I've read and the other two were slow, same as this one, but the story ultimately progressed and picked up pace. I like the characters, especially Sylvester who has been in all three books, but this story just goes round and round like a dog chasing its tail. Got to chapter 12 and just couldn't finish it.

By Aquila Once again, Aston mixes the misunderstandings between adults and teenagers and between husbands and wives, together with a supernatural element in this latest (and last?) tale of the Mountjoys, involving a bawdy design for a fountain, writer's block, and the life-changing effect of leaving rain-soaked northern England for a sunnier clime--in this case, southern France. Aston's principle characters are delightful, but she also knows how to create some of the most awful people one never hopes to meet, and the three brothers of the heroine in this installment will make the reader grateful for whatever siblings s/he happens to have.

I find myself very attached to these whimsical characters. Ms. Aston is one of my very favorite authors ever. She is fearless about social issues she brings up, hilarious in creating relationships and the ensuing challenges that always come up and visionary as to the directions she sends everyone. I wish I had a Sylvester in my life. Anytime you wish to create more adventures for this crowd please let me know. I want to be sure to get a first copy. Read these and tell your friends about them.
