About the Author Louis L'Amour was born Louis Dearborn LaMoore in Jamestown, North Dakota, in 1908. Good reading By Hillbilly John As always Louis Lamours stories are good, but the editor wrote several pages apparently just to fill space and trying to impress us with his knowledge. Some of the stories appeared to have been copped up and lose continuity at times, which I suspect was the editor.
