A new-age techie twist to the old warning "Be careful what you wish for" By traci lynn The Photons in the Cheese are Lost has such an intriguing and fresh premise that I knew going in that I was going to enjoy the story, but what I did not realize was that it would take less than a page to completely draw me in. I have a love/hate relationship with Short Stories. When an author does it right I am thrilled, but I think its very hard to pull a reader in and get them fully invested in something that takes place within such few pages. Fortunately for me this author knows how to write short stories,he knows where to start and where to stop and he pulls you in from go and gives you what you need. There is no wasted space, the character in this story Chris is a fully realized character, not that I knew "everything" about him, but by the closing line I had a very clear picture of who this guy was, and at a whopping 16 pages, that was an amazing thing. There is not much to review story-wise that wouldn't be viewed as a spoiler so what I will say is that this story is filled with humor that I genuinely laughed out loud at, and not just in one spot, it has fantastical ideas that are so far fetched but realistic in a funky sci-fi way. I once again greatly enjoyed this authors work and look forward to reading more of his strange and beautiful offerings. This SS should appeal to a wide range of readers and I would not hesitate in recommending this story or this author to any of my reading friends!Happy Reading!*Full Disclaimer - I received a copy of this story for my honest opinion, it in no way impacted my opinion of the story.

It hovers between recognition of the insane delusional and the very tangible world most of us vacillate between at one time or another. Curious Chris, fat, slobby, unemployed with a poorly endowed penis suddenly has everything going for him. Even without dreams they are fulfilled by the mere tap on the spam box. He should have know not to open it. Spam is what is left over after the pig has been slaughtered and processed. These left overs are then squashed into a jelly mess with pig hairs sticking out all over. No body in their right mind would want to look at that. But Chris did and it momentarily satisfied many of his undreamed of aspirations. But...This is a must read. Spam box is an anathema. Open at your peril.

By Marc Byers This was a fun short story we can all identify with and get a laugh from. The more you think about the concept of this book the more disturbing you could go with it, what if Spam, something we all think is trash/junk/garbage, actually became real. Just open up your spam folder now and see how scared you actually would be. Werbeloff dares to go there and it's quite entertaining. I liked the ending, Enjoy!
