By Donald Hunt This is book 2 of the, A Damaged Goods Mystery series.It is sophisticated humor, with an undercurrent of sarcasm,that runs amok through the story.The banter between the characters will have you laughing,and reading as fast as you can.The story is a continuation of the first book, which I hope youhave read.What was that?You want a few tidbits of the story?Ok, but just a few.There is a man wearing elephant underwear, with the trunkin the front....There is a man wearing a full dog costume, and he barksat people, I think he is a furry, or a flurry.There is also a Meth Lab, this is where our heroes get their truckerrrr truck-jacked.Oh yeah.......someone might be pregnant.Enjoy your trip back to Miami.

Reeling after the near death events in Final Notice, things aren't going smoothly for Jackie and her ex-marines husband, Luke. Especially not with the sexy Logan, Luke's brother and Jackie's one-time fling many years ago. However business is business and together they are off to evict to another dead beat in their jobs as property managers. What begins with evictions leads to "furries", drug labs and murderers on the loose for the Damaged Goods team.I simply can't get enough of the Damaged Goods Mysteries. I really enjoyed the first book, Final Notice, and when I finished it I was eager for a second story. I patiently waited for a sequel and I was rewarded with "Lease on the Beach".Lease on the Beach was definitely worth the wait. Jennifer L. Hart has created a very intense relationship with Jackie and Luke, throw in the mix the sexy brother, Logan, and there is definitely drama aplenty. Jackie is not the usual airhead running into situations without warning, and I like that she does think about the situations before diving in. She is definitely a amateur sleuth worth following!Lease on the Beach was full of adventure on every page, and I loved every second of it. This is not a series that you will be bored with, and one that you will get thoroughly addicted to.I give Lease on the Beach five sparkling stars (if I could give it a trillion stars I would!) and I am very eager to visit with Jackie and the Parker boys again to find out what is in store for them next.

By Jeanie Jackson The unique and fascinating Lease on the Beach is even better than Final Notice, if you can believe that, and I loved, loved, loved Final Notice. Jennifer Hart has an amazing ability to pull me through a roller coaster ride of emotions with both the development of the full plot and with a single twist of phrase. Jackie, her lead character and the process server for Damaged Goods property management, is an intelligent independent woman who does not want to be protected,too much, by her husband and his brother. Now that the “big issue” from the first book is out, she expects life to go forward into that dream she built of living a regular life with her husband Luke, but they are so far from it that she is lost in how to handle her marriage to an ex-marine who spent most of their six years of marriage deployed. One minute he is the guy she married and the next he is someone else entirely. Then there is the ongoing battle with her brother-in-law who seems to understand her better than her husband.AND that is before the twists and turns of murders and kidnapping even begin. Running a property management company would be tough enough with problem evictions but since Jackie started working for her husband and his brother Logan their propensity for finding dead bodies and trouble is interfering with their payday.
