What was she really doing while we thought she was dead?

Stinky’s colorful granny is back in town with her latest acquaintance, a 1950s B-movie star known as Boom-Boom to her friends. After a few cocktails by the Black Sea, the new BFFs decide to fake the aging starlet’s death as a publicity stunt. They enlist Stinky’s assistance, figuring that as a lawyer he can make even an outrageous lie sound plausible, but it’s not easy to disappear, reappear and make people believe your story. Stinky remembers Boom-Boom from the Friday night sci-fi movies he watched as a teen and discovers he’s not the only one who enjoyed her films. Thanks to his efforts a new generation discovers classics like The Monster from the Mauve Cove and Escape from a Female Chain Gang on the big screen as they were meant to be seen. About Stinky Stories Stinky and Eddie appear in almost eighty comic short stories in the #1 bestselling Amazon series. Stinky is chatty and insouciant, and while Eddie may not say as much, when something needs to be done, he’s already doing it. They’re as close as Brooklyn and Queens and as unlikely to separate. Stinky doesn’t go looking for trouble, but he can’t hide from it. It’s part of the “best looking man on the planet” package. Stinky has an assortment of relatives, but they all have the ability to get him in trouble, whether granny returns to town with a eurotrash beau, his mother decides that her husband is cheating on her, or his nephew turns a Sunday school play into a comic disaster. Stinky and Eddie would like to live quietly, but lucky for us that never happens. Stinky and Eddie are supported by a collection of outrageous guest stars and an ever expanding cast of relatives. The stories are witty and literate and readers don’t have to leave their brains in a jar to enjoy them. Whether it’s a flat-out farce, bedroom comedy, sexy romp, sly satire or screwball family intrigue, you’re never far from a happy ending in every Stinky story. By B Conklin If you enjoy fast-paced, dialog-driven humor replete with racy witticisms that snap, crackle, and pop out of characters’ mouths with more zest than a box of milk-drenched Rice Krispies, you’ll love this four-part “stinky story” by Peter Grant. A breeze to read in one sitting, the story is a spoof of 1950s Hollywood sci-fi B-movies, the kind they used to replay on Saturday mornings on local stations (if you’re old enough) or the kind that are hard to find on NetFlix (if you’re young enough). We’re talking first-generation, pre-Matthew Broderick and pre- pre-Bryan Cranston Godzilla, folks. Does the Monster from the Mauve Cove ring a bell? It should if you’ve ever seen the synonymous Monster from the Black Lagoon. The eccentricities of Stinky, Eddie, Collin, Granny, and Aurora Bombastica (aka Boom-Boom) emerge through their antics, focusing on a faux death to reclaim tabloid glory for a fast-fading actress and culminating with a bare-it-all interview with a spidery gossip columnist. They’re sort of an Our Gang of upscale New Yorkers. All in all, the story is a barrel-ride of rip-roaring fun reminiscent of P.G. Wodehouse novels. I’m not sure where this series of Stinky stories has been hiding, but I’m glad I ran across it because there’s a lot more where this one came from.
