0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The story is inventive By B.J. Taylor I liked the first book I read by this author. It was well-written and fun. This one however wasn't fun. It was well-written, but too long, had too much story but not enough sex or erotica. Yes the author strives for realism, and if that's your thing then this is the book for you. But I like my stories to get to the point. Wham, bam thank you ma'am. This wasn't that.But in saying that. The story is inventive. It's told through the main characters perspective and news clippings, which creates a clear-cut world chock full of interesting people and interesting situations. But nowhere near enough sex or masturbation for it to call itself erotica. Erotica-lite maybe, but not erotica.The author has skill, so much so that I'd love to see what she can do with standard fiction. I guarantee she can create a mind-blowing world and characters. She's that skilled. I also wouldn't mind seeing what she can do with non-realism erotica. Something filthy. Something that'll make you need church after you're finished.

The forwars helped shed light on the adventure I was about to take, but it didn't tell me the amount of imagination I was about to read.The different posts were hilarious and heart breaking at the same time. Many times I was shaking my head and smiling.People are so quick to judge and condemn. Even though Patient didn't describe her characters I was able to picture them all. Especially the old biddy church lady (who probably needs a porn basket to give hee something to do so she'll mind her own business) to the pastor who ostracized the poor teacher. The hypocrisy was spot on.Congratulations Patient.

It’s good when you read a short story that gives you a chance to imagine a whole lot more. The way this is told to us in message board format works very well. It creates intensity and immediacy – pulls you in like no amount of description, character development and dialogue could go anywhere near achieving in this amount of reading time. I would give 5 stars for that alone, but on top of it we get a terrific little story with a real life lead character in an oh-so-real dilemma. The way out of the dilemma (the conclusion) is just brilliant. I won’t spoil it…. Read and enjoy!
